Smartwatches allow the wearer to receive notifications from their devices (such as texts, emails, weather updates). Smartwatches connect to the main device (usually a smart phone) via Bluetooth. Android wear watches are compatible with Android devices (ex: Samsung Note 4) and ios devices (ex: Apple iPhone). Some features are not available on the iPhone when using the smart watch compared to Android. The Apple Watch is the most known smartwatch, but after you read up on other watches will think twice about that (and it’s not cross-platform compatible).
