    Boys and girls, be sure you include lots of details, opinions, connections and some writing techniques (simile, metaphor, personicfication) to make your communications more understandable. Conventions are important too.
    We are interested in your thoughts about the daily events as they occur and also your particular event and the results.

    Here is some great news about my sport womens 1000m Speed Skating. The Korean team was disqualified so, the U.S womens Speed Skating team received a bronze medal on February 28, 2010. Also, U.S Speed Skater Katherine Reutter entered her first Olympic games in Vancouver as a great skater! She was so great that she won a silver medal in the 1000m race. U.S Speed Skating was a great sucess this year and hopefully will be again next year!!

    What I liked about the opening ceremony is when all the famous people sang and the Indian tribes danced. I loved that they do a lot for the opening ceremony. The Winter Olympics bring together many nations and different types of people. Everyone has friendly matches against each other and have fun with it.
    Kayla =)

    The USA has done phenomenal job in the olympics. We have a medal count of 37. In my sport skeleton there was a woman named Noelle Pikus-Pace who has done a wonderful job in her sport. She came in fourth over all. She had previously been in a horrible bob sled accident and had been unable to compete in the olympics a few years ago.

    For the ceremony question sadly i did not get to see the closing ceremony, but the beginning ceremony was awesome,but there was a mistake.The one tourch would not come out of the ground because the ice had it stuck.Overall it was a great show.For my sport it was women’s snowboarding cross.The U.S. placed second and her name is Lindsey Jacobellis.We also placed 12th Faye Gulini lastley we placed 21st her name was Callan Chythlook-Sifsof.

  20. I like the opening ceremony because of the wonderful fireworks also because the torch was lit that was why the opening ceremony was my favorite and the best.

  21. Austin Roberts says:

    I’m really glad that we did this project because if i didn’t i probably would have not watched when America beat Canada on their first game.And I would have probably would have never heard of the luge.When I first heard that I was doing the luge I thought it sounded really dum.But now love it is really cool.I never even heard of it before this project.But I am really glad that we did this project

    1. I didn’t see the opening or closing cerimonies, but I bet they were great just like every year………………….well every four years.

    2. The USA figure skating team brought back one gold medal and two siver medals.

    3. Infigure skating you need vertical valocity, angular momentum,and flexability.Axles are the hardest trick to accomplish because you need to have and do all of these things at 110%.

    4. I like how Joey kept us all informed on how many medals usa got.

    I can’t belive that they made a mistake on bringing the torh up thanks for sharing,Brooke:-)
