Schreiber Pediatric:
Interested in some volunteer hours? Schreiber Pediatric is asking for volunteers to help with this years Annual Easter Egg Hunt! The opportunity takes place April 3rd at 2:30. Help spread easter eggs on the field for the kids, as well as helping with setup of game stations and registration tables. If interested, stop by the counseling office to take a look in the Volunteer folder today!
Do you enjoy working with kids? Do you like to swim? Then this opportunity is for you! Schreiber Pediatric needs helpers to assist with preschool children learning to swim. This program takes place Tuesdays and Wednesdays on April 17th-18th, May 8th-9th, and June 12th-13th. For times and further information on how to get involved, stop by the counseling office to check out the volunteer folder!

Speedwell Foundation Study Abroad Scholarship:
Seniors! Interested in taking a year off before attending college? Then listen up! The Speedwell Foundation Study Abroad Scholarship is offering the chance to study abroad for a semester in one of six various locations. The Scholarship will cover the full cost of the program including round trip airfare. Scholarship applications must be postmarked on or before April 13th, 2012. Interested seniors who wish to apply must meet certain requirements. To learn more about this scholarship and the necessary requirements, stop by the counseling office as soon as possible! The deadline is quickly approaching!

PFEW:
Any Sophomores or Juniors interested in a future in business, listen up! Pennsylvania Free Enterprise Week 2012 is a chance for students to be part of an executive management team responsible for turning an “imaginary company” into a financial success through many different types of business strategies. The deadline for applications for this opportunity has been extended to Friday, April 6th. Interested students who missed the original deadline should stop by the counseling office ASAP to fill out an application today!

LGH:
Juniors and Seniors with a genuine interest in healthcare listen up! Lancaster General Hospital is offering a Volunteer Program this summer beginning June and running through August. This program allows for students to gain first hand experience with day-to-day activities in a healthcare setting while fulfilling service learning or community service hours. Upon completion of the program, students will be eligible for a $500 scholarship to Lancaster General’s College of Nursing. This is a GREAT opportunity for those interested in healthcare. HACC:
Attention juniors and seniors, HACC is offering an event titled “TO HACC and BEYOND…On Your Way to a Bachelor’s Degree” on April 11th from 5 to 8pm. This is a great opportunity for students who are looking for a more affordable path to a bachelor’s degree after high school. Admissions representatives from HACC’s Dual Admissions Agreement will be in attendance including Millersville University, Penn State University-Harrisburg, Susquehanna University, Lebanon Valley College, Eastern University, Elizabethtown College, Albright College, and Immaculata University. Interested students can stop by the counseling office to pick up more information on this event!
