How To Allow Pop-ups on Certain Websites

Pop-ups are usually annoying new pages or advertisements that randomly open up on a page while you are working. Sometimes these pop-ups provide needed functions. In some cases they increase productivity or runs programs that are needed.

This article will show you have to only allow pop-ups on certain websites of your choosing.

To begin, open up Google Chrome from the left side of your screen.

Once Google Chrome is open click on the Settings icon in the upper right hand corner of the tab.

Next, in the settings tab look to the very bottom of the page and click “Show advanced settings…”.

In the advanced settings, scroll down to the first header named “Privacy”.  Under Privacy, click on the button “Content Settings…”.

Once in content settings, scroll down until you see the header named “Pop-ups”. Under Pop-up’s, click on the button “Manage exceptions…”.

Once you are in Pop-up exceptions, you will see a box under text that says “Hostname pattern”. This is just a fancy way of saying that this is where you copy and paste the address of the website that would like to allow. For instance, if you wanted the website Google to not have pop-ups, you would type www.google.com into the box. Keep the behavior setting at “allow”.

Once finished typing in the website address that you would like to have pop-ups on, make sure to press the “Done” button at the bottom to save this change.

 

Now you can proceed to this website and all pop-ups will be displayed and unblocked!!!
