How to Make a Youtube Channel

Youtube is a free account that can be connected to your school email or a personal email. Please note that if you use a school email your account will eventually get deleted after you graduate. This is great to use if you have a file too large to put on a flash drive. Watch the video below or follow these quick easy steps.

To set up an account:

  1. Go to www.youtube.com 
  2. Click on sign in and it will ask which account you wish to use. This is where it will connect you to your school email. You can also click on sign in (if you are not on your school Gmail at the time of trying to create it) which will then walk you through the steps in which to create a Youtube account and a channel.

Adding videos:

  1. Click on Upload near the search bar
  2. Select a file by clicking on the gray box You can also select Public, Unlisted, Or Private
    • Public allows it to be shown to everyone
    • Unlisted means it won’t show up at all until you change this setting
    • Private- no one else can see it unless you give the Url (website link) to everyone else
  3. Change the title to whatever the video has to do with
  4. Put a description in
  5. Add tags
  6. Click publish and let it load completed

 

How to delete videos:

  1. Click on my channel which is located on the left side bar  on the youtube homepage
  2. Click on Video manager which is located right under the youtube search bar
  3. Click the check box for the video in which you wish to delete. This is located beside the video
  4. Click on actions located above all your videos
  5. Select delete
  6. Confirm deletion. It will say “Yes, Delete”
