How to Use Brackets

Brackets is a free application that is pre-downloaded on your student laptop to type coding into such as HTML(Hypertext Markup Language, a standardized system for tagging text files to achieve font, color, graphic, and hyperlink effects on World Wide Web pages), CSS(“Cascading Style Sheet.” Cascading style sheets are used to format the layout of Web pages), or JavaScript(an object-oriented computer programming language commonly used to create interactive effects within web browsers). Brackets:

  1. Go to the dash and type in ‘Brackets’ (the icon that looks like a square)
  2. Click on Brackets once it loads up go to file
  3. Then click new
  4. You can code away from here!
