Tomorrow is our Pizza Party!

We will be having a pizza party in the classroom tomorrow (4/27)! We earned this class reward by having great behavior! It is up to your child if he or she would like to buy or pack lunch. I will be providing a slice of pizza for each child along with chips and a drink. They will most likely not have time to eat two lunches so please have them choose what they would like! Congrats to a great class!

 

Updates!

• Our spelling test on Lesson 24 will be this Thursday.
• This week we will begin our study of geometric shapes in math class. Please remember to be practicing basic facts at home!
• Tuesday is our music class presentation! We will be putting on a patriotic show. Please plan on dropping students off at the Beach Area at 6:45. I will meet them there! We can’t wait!!
• This Friday, we will be presenting our narrative scrapbooks with the pictures you have sent to school. We are so excited to share them with you! Please plan on arriving at 1:00, as the parking lot is congested at 12:45 due to kindergarten drop off. See you then!

Our Spelling Test will be next Thursday, April 26. This week’s list is challenging, and we will need some extra time to learn these spelling patterns.

Math- In math we are studying measurement and time. We will have a measurement quiz on Tuesday. This is not a standard measurement quiz, but instead we are ordering objects, using vocabulary such as shorter than and longer than, and measuring with cubes.

Science- We continue to study solids, liquids, and gases and discuss the differences in mixtures and solutions.
