Wednesday 9/25 Day D- Music Today we will take our social studies test on citizenship. I am confident all of our class will do well on what it means to make good choices and be a good citizen! They have been doing a great job of it so far!

Thursday 9/26 Day A – Applied Engineering ( no library book exchange) Mr. Schuck will teach a social skills lesson today. We will also study for our math test tomorrow on adding using pictures. The students are allowed to use counting chips on their test.

Friday 9/27 Day B- Art – Our class will take our first math test today. We have an early dismissal today! Please let the office know of any transportation changes due to the early dismissal.

The class has earned ten behavior points! To celebrate we will have a game day tomorrow where students are invited to bring a board game to school to play between 2-2:30. Please don’t worry about not being able to send in a game, I will bring plenty, but just wanted to make it available. If you do bring in a game for 2-6 players, please make sure your child’s name is on the game box. Congratulations first grade on making your mark!

Friday Day A Applied Engineering and Library Book Exchange – Today is APPLE DAY! To celebrate the first day of fall we are going to have apple day in the afternoon. The students will travel to each first grade class to complete an apple activity or play a game! Have a wonderful weekend!

Wednesday, September 11, 2019- Day B ART Our class will celebrate Patriot Day today by learning and writing about what it means to be a hero. We are creating a first grade display to honor the first responders and victims of 9/11. We will have math homework on ways to make 6 and 7.

**** Sometimes you may see on our blog that we are having math homework and then no homework comes home in take home folders. This is because it may take us two days to get comfortable enough with a topic to send it home. Homework does not come home unless, as a class, we are ready to do it with just a little help from our parents. ****

Our class does not have math homework tonight. We will have homework in math tomorrow as we continue practicing taking two parts and making them into one whole ( beginning addition).
