Welcome! I am excited to be your child’s 1st grade teacher! This year will be one of tremendous growth for you child as he or she becomes more independent and accustomed to a full day in elementary school.

I am very happy to start my first year at Hambright Elementary. This is my eleventh year of teaching, but my second with Penn Manor. Being a graduate of Penn Manor, and a parent to a first grader at Eshleman, I am eager to work with the outstanding educators of the district. I live in Millersville with my husband, Steve and our two children, Jack (6) and Maddie (2). We also have a Labrador Retriever “Gipper” who I’m sure the students will hear many stories about this year! I enjoy running and recently completed my first half marathon in Philadelphia.

As an early childhood teacher, one of the greatest joys you can have is to watch your students become readers, and more fluent readers. I am happy to partner with you on this journey and will provide many opportunities this year for your child to bring home books that he or she can read and enjoy with you at home.
