Fourth grade would like to welcome Mrs. Kristen Graver! She will be joining the 4th grade team for the remainder of the 2019-2020 school year. Mrs. Graver will be hosting a Meet the Teacher night on Wednesday, February 26 from 6:00-7:00. This will be an open house format, so please feel free to stop in and meet her. A welcome letter from Mrs. Graver will also be coming home in your child’s Monday folder.

What are we learning this week?

Math with Mrs. Graver: Thank you for working with your son/daughter to make the chapter test corrections on decimals. Students will be working through Customary Units of Measurement, and converting units of measurement this week.

ELA: We will be wrapping up our compare and contrast lesson on Monday with our peer interviews and writings. On Tuesday we will begin our Unit 4 Assessment, which will cover topics such as point of view, fiction summaries, and two column notes for our TDA prompt. In grammar we will be practicing adjective order and article adjectives.

Word Study with Mrs. Graver: Please continue to check your son/daughter’s planners for due dates of menu items and the date of their next word study test.

Science: We spent last week talking about magnetism. This week we will begin to explore what energy is, and the many types of energy that are around us!
