Week of October 16, 2017

Our Week

Math – We are having a lot of fun learning all about multiplication! We learned how to solve multiplication problems using equal groups, arrays, skip counting, and repeated addition. Our Chapter 4 test is on Monday.

Arrays are more fun when you use little erasers!

ELA – We are learning all about facts and opinions. The students…err…I mean detectives, had to decide if statements were facts or opinions. They cracked the case!

Content – What’s the matter? Nothing when you are having fun in Science! We started learning about matter and its different states. We will experiment with the different states of matter over the next couple of weeks.

Spelling – Our Lesson 7 test was on Friday. The Lesson 8 list was sent home and will be tested on Friday.

Last week was also when we had Pink-Out Day!

It was a fun week in third grade, but the highlight of our week was The Super Hero Math Assembly! I loved watching their reactions as the presenter used magic to teach all about math.
