First of all, THANK YOU! I know that there was a lot on your plate with the 100th day, pajama day, and Freaky Friday all in one week. I had to get my own kids dressed for Freaky Friday, and we all barely made it out of the door. 🙂
Math – We completed Chapter 11. Many kids came home with their graded tests on Friday. If your child did not bring home a test, it is because he/she is still finishing the test or working on test corrections. Next week we begin Chapter 12. In this chapter we will learn how to represent data and measure to the nearest half and fourth of an inch.
ELA – We are really working hard on our written responses to texts. We are also continuing to learn about people who shaped our country’s history. This week we focused on Ruby Bridges. A new vocabulary list will come home on Monday.
Content – On Friday we watched a video about school lunch in Japan. The kids were blown away by just how different it is from our school lunch in America. Ask your child to tell you about one of the differences we noticed.
Spelling – Our new list came home on Friday and will be tested this coming Friday.
