Last week was a fun and eventful week!
Awesome Activity Day was so much fun! Thank you to Mr. McCabe and all of the volunteers.
Despite the rain, Laps for LeTort was still a blast!
LeTort will be holding our Book Swap again this year. Get ready to clean off your book shelves and check under your bed to find those books that you’ve already read!
Your child may swap as many as 20 books. We welcome donations if you have more than 20 books. (We can especially use intermediate books.) We will make sure that they get in students’ hands. Please bring in books May 20 – 24. The swap will be held the following week.
Math – Last week we took our test on money. Most of the kids brought home the test in their Friday Folders. Now that we have completed our chapter on money, we will review 3rd grade math content.
ELA – We are very busy writing in 3-B! The kids are working SO hard on all of the poetry that they will present at our Popcorn and Poetry Party. We are also working on writing an opinion essay. I’m impressed with the growth that they have shown since the beginning of the year!
Content – Right now in Social Studies, we are learning about economics.
Spelling – The Lesson 30 spelling list was sent home on Friday. We will take our test this coming Friday.
On Monday we had a chance to do some bird watching and on Tuesday we learned more about Honeybees through virtual reality. So cool!
We wrote some poetry at the “Binkley Poetry Cafe”
I am looking forward to another really fun week in 3-B!
