A Beautiful Fall…

Hi everyone! It was a beautiful fall day outside and a great day inside D108 with lots of learning. This week we worked more on inference skills, finding the main idea and details of a text, and writing paragraphs. We also finished a unit on multiplication and began learning about the operation of division. We are reading a story about a K9 officer named Aero and we’re learning to be THIEVES ( a non-fiction reading strategy) when we read non-fiction. Next week we will continue work on all of these concepts and throw in work on revising and editing our writing, writing a friendly letter, and more work with division.

Parent Teacher conference times will be coming home on Monday. Please let me know if we need to make any changes. Next Friday is an early dismissal, so please plan accordingly. Thanks for all of your help and support with homework. Keep on reading!! Next week we will return to a normal spelling list and homework week.

The week of October 28-31 will be Red Ribbon Week. This is a week to bring awareness to harmful drug use. More information will be coming home next week to let you know how to participate.

Have a great weekend!
