WE ARE DONE!

PSSA’s are over for third graders! YAY!

We will be resuming our normal schedule tomorrow. Tomorrow we will have book exchange, so, please remind your child to hand in their books if they didn’t last week.

We will be taking our lesson 23 reading/vocabulary test tomorrow. Please review the vocabulary words tonight! We have been practicing with them daily here at school.

We WILL NOT take our lesson 23 spelling test. We will move onto lesson 24 on Monday.

Looking ahead, I will be looking for pizza boxes for an upcoming math project we will be doing here at school. Please send any boxes in as you get them! Thanks!

 

Important Information

Hello parents!  PSSA time is finally upon us, so please take a moment to review the updates/information below:

  • HOMEWORK
    • There will be no homework this week or next week.
    • Instead, students can read, study vocab/spelling, and practice math facts at your discretion.
  • PSSA ENVELOPES
    • Please remember to hand in the envelopes that were sent home with notes of encouragement for your child.  Students really enjoy receiving notes from family members as a little boost for the PSSA tests.
  • FUNDRAISER MONEY
    • All fundraiser money is due this Wednesday, April 13.
  • UPCOMING TESTS
    • Our next spelling/vocab test (Lesson 23) will fall on Friday, April 22.
    • We will begin Lesson 24 on Monday, April 25.
    • We will be skipping Lesson 25.

PSSA’s are Here!

Next week we will start the first round of PSSA Tests. Monday will be our first testing day. Regular reading curriculum will take a break while students are ELA Testing. We will be doing review math lessons in the AM next week.  We will have music as our special on Monday.

Thank you to all parents that donated snacks for PSSA test takers in my room!

Please feel free to send in a pack of gum for any student taking the test. They will be permitted to chew a piece gum only while taking the assessment.

Please remember to send in all PSSA encouragement note cards!

Remember to get lots of sleep, eat a good breakfast, and rest up!

Awesome Activity Day!

All parents that are interested in helping with a station during Awesome Activity Day, please fill out the sheet that was sent home with your child.  If you need another form, please email Mrs. Bohannon.

*Reminder: If you sign up for a station, we will need you to remain at the station for the duration of the day.

 Reach Out Booklets:  Due by the end of the day today. Students were informed of this during our kick off assembly. These are the books that you put addresses of family and friends to ask for a donation to our school.

Wed., April 6th –  Early submission of forms are collected at the end of the day, and new sales forms will be distributed, so they can keep selling.

Wed., April 13th – Sale Ends, all sales forms are asked to be turned in on this day.
