We are almost ready for VALENTINE MAIL DELIVERY! 🙂 This will take place on Friday, February 12th (stay tuned in case weather is a factor in the upcoming weeks).  In preparation for the big day, we will make mailboxes for our Valentines. This is where we need your support. Please send in a shoe box or tissue box with your child! Please send extras if you have some laying around the house (I will bring in some as well)! We are also in need of a few donations, which can come in at any time!

• Valentine’s Day Stickers
• Red, Pink, White Ribbon
• Any type of Valentine craft items that will help us to decorate our boxes!

REMEMBER: Please make sure ALL friends in our classroom are included on Valentine Delivery. 🙂

100 days of school already?!

On Monday, February 8th, our second graders will celebrate the 100th day of school by having a 100 day snack!! Please send 100 snack items in a ziplock bag to school with your child! 🙂 Remember: We have a peanut allergy!

Some suggestions include:

– 100 Cheerios

-100 Kix or Chex

-100 Goldfish crackers

-100 Chocolate Chips

-100 Mini- Marshmallows

-100 M&Ms

-ANY small snack item!

Pleasure make sure your child counts out 100 of these snacks with clean, washed hands! 🙂 Thank you!!

I hope everyone had a long, wonderful weekend! I spent mine in Fort Myers with my mom, sister and grandma! 🙂 While I was away, I had the students complete a writing assignment called ‘MISSING TEACHER” 😉 The writing prompt was: “Your Teacher is Missing!!! Where oh where could your teacher be? Please think of a story and draw a picture to explain why your teacher is not here today.” I am super excited to get back and hear some of their stories- we have lots and lots of creativity in my room! LOVE it! I am always ready to get back after a long weekend and see those smiling faces. 🙂
