Kids at Work Day

Parents and Guardians,

I have attached a flyer about Kids at Work Day. This is always a fun day to see how creative students are in presenting their future careers! I will encourage our class to participate.

Kids at Work Day

Friday, February 24th, 2023

Construction Worker       Athlete        Dental Hygienist

Retail Manager         Vet        Artist       Fashion Designer

Chef           Entrepreneur        Teacher           Firefighter

As a way to promote career exploration and awareness with our elementary students, Penn Manor elementary schools are planning a special day across the district.

On Friday, February 24th, 2023, students will be invited to wear clothing that represents careers that they may be interested in exploring as an adult. For example, your child may come dressed as a construction worker, a doctor, a teacher, etc. Please make sure that your child’s clothing is appropriate for a day of learning and wouldn’t distract other students in his/her classroom.  As an added component to the Kids at Work Day, teachers and staff will be wearing their college, military, trade school, or past/present career attire.

Our hope is that Kids at Work Day will be a great way to start conversations at home and at school about different types of careers, why someone chooses a career, and what kind of training/schooling is needed to get started in a particular career.

The Penn Manor Elementary School Counselors would like to thank you in advance for your support of Kids at Work Day. If you have any questions, please contact your school’s counselor.

Sincerely,

The Elementary School Counselors
