Here we are…the home stretch! I can’t believe how fast it went! I spent the weekend working on your child’s report card and I am thrilled with how much they have each grown academically and emotionally this year! Enjoy your summer break, and as I’ve told the kids, if you see me outside, please stop in to say hi and have a snack of cheese! (I love cheese, just ask your child!)
Happenings this week:
Monday, June 3: Y for YOU…we will have activities that involve students thinking about themselves and what they have learned, enjoyed, would change this year and what would they want next year’s kindergarten class to know about Mrs. Kinser and Kindergarten.
Tuesday, June 4: Z for Zoo animals and Zoom into summer. We will also zip on up to first grade to meet our new first grade teacher and visit in their room for a while.
Also happening this week:
Monday, 6/3: PTO School Picnic 5:30-7:30 (Mrs. Glassmyer will have a turn in the dunk tank!)
Tuesday, 6/4: Last Day of Kindergarten (regular school hours)
Wednesday, 6/5: Last Day Grades 1-6 (11:30 dismissal/no breakfast or lunch)
Although this is my last weekly news post, check back here in a few days. I want to post some pictures that you’ll receive in paper form, but may want to download from this site if you’d like them to be printed.
I can’t thank you all enough for your support this school year! Your communication, questions, and concerns have made the difference in your child’s kindergarten year. Make lots of good summer memories so my “first graders” can come back with lots to tell me when they visit. Read read read! And keep up the sight word practice! Happy Summer!
