Weekly News: Sept. 30 – Oct. 4

Happenings this week:

This week we will focus on the letters u, c, and o. We learn their sound, how to write them, and can sort words that begin with the letters. In Math we continue the chapter on reading and writing numbers. We work on number sense and how a group can be equal to, greater than, or less than another group. Edible math is a big part of this unit. If you would like to contribute something I would be grateful. FrootLoops, Cheerios, Pretzel Sticks, Animal Crackers, Fish Crackers, Marshmallows, Cheezits, Chocolate Chips. If there is something on this list that you do not want your child to have, please let me know.

Friday, October 4: Race for Education. Both classes will spend about an hour outside, weather permitting, (in the gym if it’s raining) running laps for our education fundraiser. Kinser AM and PM Kindergarten are the top two classes in the lead with PM in the lead for a pizza party! It’s not too late to make a donation!

You can find your students personalized donation page by going to www.race4ed.com/cme

Looking ahead:

Monday, Oct. 14: NO SCHOOL

Friday, Oct. 25: Early Dismissal. AM Kindergarten attends 9 – 1:30 NO PM Kindergarten.

Apple Day Fun! Thank you to the parents that came in to help with our Apple Day. We had a great time tasting the apples and turning them into applesauce to try the next day. I am having a little issue with getting my pictures here…come by later this week and see if I got this problem solved! Thanks!
