The Penn Manor School District now has a district wide policy for snacks and foods in the classroom. Because of this new policy, all students need to have permission to participate in any food related activity in the classroom. Today your child brought home the permission paper (yellow) for our Gingerbread Day next Thursday. Your child MUST return the paper signed in the appropriate areas for them to be able to eat their gingerbread creation. If I do not have permission slip from you they can still do all of our activities, but I will need to place their creation in a bag and send home for you to decided if they can eat it or not.
Tomorrow, Friday, they will come home with another food permission paper (yellow) for our edible math activities. I like to use edible counters for math a few times a week. As you can guess, it is a very popular math lesson. If I do not get this permission form back, your child will still participate in math lessons, but they will use some other type of counter to complete the lessons. Thank you for returning these yellow papers as soon as possible.
