Weekly Update 2/11-2/15

Just a reminder that we do have school this Friday, February 15.

Who Am I? posters were presented this week. The third graders were very proud to share their projects. It was wonderful to see their joy in showing what makes them unique. Thank you for your support in completing this assignment.

On Friday, February 15 we will culminate our cultural awareness unit. We will be making an edible Amish quilt.  Any help you can give with donating supplies would be greatly appreciated! https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10c0d4aada822a64-edible2

Valentine’s Day class lists were sent home. Our celebration will be this Thursday, February 14th. Please remember this is completely optional! If your child does choose to participate, they need to include all students in the class. Thank you.

Kids at Work Day is on Friday, February 22, 2019!

As a way to promote career exploration and awareness with our elementary students, the Penn Manor elementary schools are planning a special day across the district. On Friday, February 22, students are invited to wear clothing that represents careers they may be interested in exploring as an adult. Our hope is that Kids at Work Day is a great way to start conversations at home and at school about different types of careers, why someone chooses a career, and what kind of training/schooling is needed to get started in a particular career. As with other special activity days, this is completely optional.
