The pace maker is a simple modification of a musical metronome.
The Stent implanted in the aorta to keep it open, was designed using the principles of origami.
The stitches a surgeon uses to correct an aneurysm or carry out a heart transplant were invented by American Nobel laureate Alexis Carrel.
He took his knowledge of lace making into the operating room.
These are just some of the fun facts you will explore throughout this hands-on day of inquiry.
Program is open to all children K – 12
Children will be grouped by age
Early bird registration $25 until Dec 21st with payment in full
After December 21st, registration is $35.
Registration closes on January 4, 2013.
