About Mrs. D’Amico

Hi!  Welcome to the Penn Manor School District blog for gifted students at Manor Middle and Hambright Elementary.  My name is Amy D’Amico and this is my ninth year in Penn Manor.  I am excited to be back in the classroom after a fun filled summer with my family.  We took a few trips to the beach over the summer, went paddle boarding, strawberry picking, visited family in Virginia, and just relaxed.

When I am not at school, you can find me spending time with my husband and three daughters (8th grade, 11th grade, and an adult.)  I like to try out new recipes, bake, read, garden, and spend time with the family dog, Charlie.

I have a BS in Elementary / Middle Education from Old Dominion University and a MS in Gifted Education from Millersville University.  Prior to coming to Penn Manor in 2009, I taught for thirteen years for Virginia Beach City Public Schools, taught on-line (Kindergarten through Adult), and substituted preschool through middle school.  The 2017-2018 school year marks 25 years of working in the education field!

Thanks for stopping by the blog.  I hope you find helpful and useful information to keep you informed about the world of gifted.
