Technology and Engineering Camp
Throughout the summer months, the Department of Applied Engineering, Safety & Technology at Millersville University of Pennsylvania offers a variety of technology camps for children and teens from grades 3-12. The camps offer participants the opportunity to receive exciting hands-on experience with fascinating technology, while stimulating creative minds-on learning. Technology & Engineering Camps are normally half-day, 15 hour per week sessions. At this time, no overnight accommodations are possible on the campus of Millersville University. However, Lancaster County can be a great place for the family to vacation while their children attend our camps. Parents can register their child for morning or afternoon camps depending on their family’s summer schedule. Every camp is packed chock-full with learning, interaction, and hands-on activities. Activities can range from making animated digital stories to building robots; making model bridges to building life size bridges. Every summer new and exciting camps are being added to our schedule. A number of parents have inquired about us providing supervision over the lunch hour so that a student can take both a morning and afternoon camp. If enough of you are interested we can provide supervision for an additional fee but you’ll have to let the camp director know by e-mail.
Art and Design Camp
Welcome to the Art & Design Camp Website! This summer, young artists can join the fun on MU Campus! New Art & Design Camps will be offered for students in grades 3 and up as well as several portfolio building opportunities for the high school students. These camps are offered in the same vein as the Technology & Engineering Camps that have been so popular throughout the past 20 years and are sure to inspire budding artists. All materials are included* in the price of registration and most camps allow for students to bring home several projects by week’s end. The sessions will all be held in Breidenstine Hall, conveniently located right next door to Osburn Hall, just in case students and their siblings want to mix & match. *Experimental Photography students should bring their own camera/smart phone if they have one. Otherwise, we can provide one for them.
