ELA PSSA Week!

As many of you know, the ELA PSSAs are upon us! We have been reviewing the types of questions that will be on the test, the test format, and test taking strategies that will be helpful for my students during the test. I have been reiterating to my students that this test is not something that defines them as a person. All I hope and expect from them is 100% effort. Please remind them of this at home!

The students will be testing Tuesday through Friday from 9:15 to 12:30. Lunch will be served at 12:33. Recess will be from 12:53 to 1:13.  Special will be from 1:55-2:40. We will have math in the afternoon on these days.

The students will receive a water bottle on the first day of testing (that they can refill as they please throughout the week). They will receive gum and mints each testing day during the test as well as snacks after the testing is done each day. Students can bring in their own mints and gum if they would like too.

Please turn in the encouraging notes that were sent home last week by Monday April 3rd. These notes mean so much to the students!

I wanted to share with you a song that Mrs. Repkoe created centered around being ready for the PSSAs. It is such a catchy tune! Students were shown this on Friday.

Remember, KEEP CALM, ITS JUST A TEST!! 🙂
