
Here is what is happening in Mrs. O’Donnell’s class this week:
Math: Students will begin Chapter 4 this week. This chapter is a short one! This week we are learning how to estimate division problems with 2 digit divisors and we are learning how to solve with 2 digit divisors. We will have a quiz towards the end of the week.
ELA: We are learning a new focus skill this week. Our next two stories will be focused on sequence. We will read “When Washing Crossed the Delaware” and begin a sequence writing assignment this week. We will learn new robust vocab words as well.
Writing: We will write “One Good Paragraph” on our holiday traditions.
Spelling: Lesson 9 spelling test will NOT be tested this Friday. This test will be next Friday November 9th. Packets are due the 9th as well. Go to https://www.spellingcity.com/users/mrsodonnell007 to practice spelling words from lesson 9. These words are starting to get CHALLENGING! Be sure to encourage your children to study their words every night!
Grammar: We will identify compound subjects in sentences this week.
