Hello! My name is Mr. Sarra and I am thrilled to be your sixth grade teacher! This is my sixth-year teaching, but my first year in the Penn Manor School District. I am beyond excited to join such a tremendous school district. I know this is going to be an enjoyable year filled with learning and new adventures and I cannot wait to see what the year has in store for us. I am looking forward to learning all about each of you, but first I’m going to tell you a few things about me.
I was born and raised in Reading, Pennsylvania, which is just about 35 miles from Lancaster. In May of 2014, I graduated from Penn State University with a Bachelors’ Degree in Middle School Education, grades 4-8, with a minor in Special Education. This past December, I finished my Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from California University of Pennsylvania. I began my teaching career in Loudoun County, Virginia. After spending three wonderful years in Virginia, I wanted to move back closer to my family and loved ones. I spent the previous two years teaching in the West Perry School District, a rural district outside of Harrisburg.
When I am not busy teaching, I enjoy exercising, reading, traveling, playing games, and cheering on my favorite sports teams! I spent a lot of my time over the summer at the beach and lake with my family and friends. I am eager to get started with this new school year and I am confident that together we will have a fun and productive year. I am looking forward to meeting everyone soon!
