Communicating with Mrs. Fafel and NEW updates!

I am so happy to have received submissions from some of you and have loved reading your responses. I also was so happy to talk to some of you this past week. The rest of you should have received a voice message from me about checking email for an invitation for a class meeting. I am SUPER excited to be able to see your faces on Monday, while hearing how you are doing. This will be new for all of us, and I can’t wait to start this new journey!

Although I was so sad to hear the news that we will not be returning to Martic to finish out our year, I am committed to doing whatever I can to make this a GREAT finish to your 6th grade year and get you prepared for Marticville Middle. It may look different, but we will have fun and finish well!

As we move forward, I have some important updates. Monday, April 13th is a weather make-up day, so school will be in session via the remote learning site. New learning activities will be posted, and I strongly encourage all students to work on these activities and be ready for new instruction on the following Monday, April 20. Please, encourage students to check their school email regularly in case I send a message for all students. Also, beginning on Monday 4/13, if any student needs some help with their work, I can be immediately available from 11:00am-12:00pm Monday-Friday. They can send an email requesting help, and depending on their needs, I will either talk with them on the phone or send an invitation for a Google Meet to help them virtually. I will also be available at other times throughout the school day, but may be in meetings and not be able to help immediately. Feel free to email me anytime at vicki.fafel@pennmanor.net and if it is within school hours, I will get back to you shortly. If you email after school hours, I will respond the next school day. I am looking forward to connecting with students and figuring out this NEW “normal” together.

Have a great weekend and a Happy Easter!
