Background and History

Established in 1997, the Penn Manor Education Foundation is an independent organization devoted to providing opportunities to the student within Penn Manor School District.

The Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) tax exempt corporation and is managed by a Board of Directors, drawn from the community, who meet regularly and function in accordance with adopted by-laws. None of the board receives any compensation, as the Foundation is a private, non-profit charitable organization. The Superintendent and Community Relations Coordinator are ex officio members of the board, providing non-voting expertise and a link to the school district.

The Foundation is dedicated to providing financial support and enthusiastic encouragement to all efforts that enrich the educational experiences of our students.

Class of 1956 gave $556 gift in September collected at our 55th reunion. Recent newsletter made no mention of gift. Letter dated 9/22/56 to Patricia Tweed indicating gift was received. Several classmates have inquired as to why it was not listed and did we forward the donation as a class gift. My letter, which included the check, indicated that it was a class gift. Please clarify this situation for me so I may forward info to class members.
