Math ,Trick words, and Landforms

Today in math the students have learned to use a number path to solve subtraction problems. We discussed either counting on or counting back. We also discussed how both strategies will get you the correct answer, but one strategy might be more “efficient.” We watched this lesson to help us understand this concept.

Today in FUNDATIONS the class learned about digraphs. Ask your child what a digraph is. (2 letters that make 1 sound. Some examples are : sh, th, wh, ck, and ch) We also learned 2 new trick words: as and has. Finally in science we have been talking about landforms. We watched a powerpoint to look at some real landforms.
