Updates for September 16

  • We had a great week! Students worked diligently to use arrays to write multiplication and division equations. They also verbally and in writing identified character traits and story elements. Students are currently working on a special pop-out character project. As part of learning about energy, they discovered that examples of sound energy are everywhere, like birdsong and human singing. We all felt the muscles in our necks as our vocal cords worked to hum and sing, “Take Me Out to the Ball Game.” This class is filled with wonderful singers! Students are also learning about their global address with “Me on the Map,” from home to world. Please help your child to practice their home address.
  • If your child has a water bottle that they can bring into school, please help them remember to bring it. Students are allowed to keep a water bottle in their cubbies to drink from throughout the day.
