Just a reminder that tomorrow (Friday, March 22nd) is an early dismissal. Students will be dismissed at 1:30pm.
School is in session on Friday, March 29th to make up for one of the snow days we had this winter.
Students enjoyed using their physics knowledge about potential and kinetic energy to build roller coasters this week. Working in small teams, students were presented with three challenges: 1. Build a straight piece of track from one side of the box to the other. 2. Add a turn to their track. 3. Add a loop to their track in which the marble will need to travel upside-down. Even though some didn’t make it through all of the challenges, a lot of learning was taking place about how to utilize energy transfers in order to get the marble to travel through the coaster. I am proud of how well the students worked together!
