What are we learning this week?

English Language Arts (ELA):

We will take our first unit assessment this week! Our next unit will focus on main ideas and supporting details. We’ll spend a lot of time reading non-fiction passages that will help us with Close Reading and “think note,” or annotation practice.

We’ll take our Chapter 3 math test on multiplication and division concepts early in the week. We’ll also take our first benchmark test on Chapters 1-3. Our next math unit focuses on the multiplication of larger numbers. We will be using the CRA (concrete to representational to abstract) to learn these concepts.

Social Studies:

We will begin a social studies unit on PA Native Americans this week!

We’ll take a break from science while we learn some social studies.
