Hi 4P Families! I hope that you had a fantastic weekend! Here we are in the last week of April already! Next week, we begin PSSA testing in the mornings. Please refer to the schedule below. Also, I encourage you to check Sapphire for your child’s latest grades. I update Sapphire grades often. Here is a look at our week ahead.

Math – We will wrap up our geometry unit this week. After that, we will spend time spiral reviewing math skills.

ELA – The students are really enjoying our unit on prose, poetry and drama. We will continue to learn more about these types of writing this week. We will also respond to a text dependent essay prompt.

Content – We will wrap up our government unit this week. Then, we will review science skills from earlier in the year.

Hi 4P Families! I hope that you had a fantastic weekend! I need your help with two quick things! In recent weeks, many students are coming to school with computers that aren’t charged for our school day. Also, some students are running out of glue sticks. We use both computers and glue sticks frequently, thank you for your help. Here is a look at our week ahead!

Math – We will continue with our geometry unit. Geoboards, Math-er-cise activities and Google Classroom activities are helping us to learn so much!

ELA – We will begin a unit on poetry, prose and drama. We will be digging deeper into each genre with a variety of reading passages.

Content – We will continue to learn about Pennsylvania Government this week.

Although the 3rd marking period wrapped up at the end of March, 3rd marking report cards will be sent home on Wednesday! Just a reminder that PSSA dates are listed below. We will be testing in the mornings.

Math – The students did a really nice job on the area and perimeter test last week. The tests were sent home on Friday. We will begin our last official math unit on Geometry this week. This chapter is longer! Following that, we will spiral review math skills from this year with a variety of activities.

ELA – We will finish our unit on Figurative Language this week. We will be working on task cards, Common Lit passages and participating in a few writing activities.

Content – We will finish an animal research project this week. We will also begin a unit on Pennsylvania Government.

Math – We finished our chapter on the Metric Unit last week and have moved on to a unit on perimeter and area. This is another short chapter!

ELA – We will continue to learn more about figurative language this week. We will work on a short writing passage and learn about homophones.

Content – We will learn about some PA pests, write a pest report and review some science concepts from our blended learning days earlier in the year.
