At Messiah College on May 21, 2011, the Pennsylvania Assocation of Family and Consumer Sciences honored Mrs. Rottmund with the Teacher of the Year award.  Pictured are Mrs. Rottmund and Mrs. Sheerer,  both are Penn Manor High School FCS Teachers.

YTI’s Pennsylvania School of Culinary Arts visits Foods and Advanced Foods & Nutrition classes to learn about the culinary arts career pathway.  Students also participated with the culinary demonstration….

This year at Penn Manor High School, our family and consumer sciences students, in the Textile Arts class, are completing a philanthropy project called: Stockings for Soldiers.  The students created stockings to be sent overseas to servicemen and women who are away for the holidays. Other civic organizations will then fill the stocking with Christmas treats!

Mrs. Sheerer learned of this project over the summer through a York county teacher and joined hands with her to create over 300 stockings.  Penn Manor contributed 65 stockings.  For more information on this national project, feel free to see the website:
