Physics is the scientific and mathematical study of matter, energy, forces, and their influences on each other. In fact, Newton’s Law of Universal Gravitation relates mass and the force gravity and Einstein’s famous equation E=mc2, directly relates mass and energy together.
With all the different forms of energy such as light, motion, electricity, position, and radiation, physics is a very broad science. Its scope ranges from units that make up the subatomic particles to stars and galaxies.
Physics is an experimental based science which relies heavily on the scientific method to test hypotheses that are based on observation of the natural world. The goal of physics is to use the results from the experiments to formulate mathematical laws and principles which are used then to predict future occurrences.
