Week of 5/13

Hello! I hope you all had a great weekend and a Happy Mother’s Day! You probably heard about our camping day on Friday – the students had a wonderful time! I will be posting some pictures on Seesaw later today of our transformed classroom πŸ™‚

A letter from Mr. Malek and Mrs. Transue went home on Friday regarding Mrs. DeLong’s expected return on Monday, May 20th. This Friday, May 17th, will be my last day at Central Manor. I’m sad to be leaving your amazing second graders, but excited for them to be back with Mrs. DeLong! I have had a wonderful two months with them! Thank you for all of your support during the transition!

Our Olympic Day is tomorrow, and our class color to wear is orange! We will also have our book exchange tomorrow, even though it will be day A. We will be back to our normal schedule this week with our spelling test on Friday.

In the month of April, our class read 9,473 minutes! That’s awesome!!! 144 more minutes than March πŸ™‚ Keep on reading every night, second graders!!

Looking ahead…

*May 13 – PTO Meeting at 6:30 in the CM Library

*May 14 – Olympic Day for 2nd grade in the morning

*May 21 – 2nd Grade Field Trip

*May 24 – We ARE in school today! This is a snow make-up day!

*May 27 – No School

Thank you again for all of your help the past two months! It has been a pleasure working with you and your wonderful second graders!! πŸ™‚
