Iron Bridge Results

Hello Penn Manor Cross Country Families,

Our day began at 6:30 am as we headed off to Lancaster Mennonite High School and the Iron Bridge Jr. High Championships. It ended with spectacular performances by the entire team, including a 1st Place finish for our Varsity Boys!!! These are the moments that make coaches extremely proud, being able to watch their athletes put forth such remarkable efforts from start to finish!

Positive moments from today:

1st Place finish by our Varsity Boys team of: Kaleb Kabakjian, Graham Cohick, Liam Howell, Carter Vinson, Aaron Harnish, Aidan Gerlach, Gabe Sullivan, and Matthew Perkins. They edged out Manheim Township with a score of 115-117.

Our Varsity Girls hit a season’s best of having the first five runners come in within 40 seconds of each other, which is outstanding pack running to any coach! They were: Ana Martin, Melanie Swanson, Emma Cassel, and Zoe King, followed by Vivi Eckman, Grace Book, Madison Montalvo, and Bethany Hetrick.

We were able to field complete teams in both of the JV races. Miles Sandt was our top finisher, coming in 20th place, with Silas Buckwalter and Grant Rost close behind. Noah Evans, Stephen Chuwan, Ben Thomas, and Noah Cruz rounded out the squad. On the Girls side, Addie Kline had a stellar performance with a PR and 22nd place finish. Other team members to complete this race were: Kennedy Neuman, Bethany Kramer, Charity Hetrick, Olivia Horst, Olivia Swanson, and Jaden Emmert.

Thank you for a unforgettable season!!!

10/8 Meet Results

We came together as 38 individuals in mid-July, but practice after practice and meet after meet, we have grown to become a true team. We saw plenty of good competition today and our athletes did their best. The girls continue to finish closer and closer to each other, and the boys nearly had a perfect record in the regular season. We believe the best race for both of our teams is yet to come!

Top finishers today were Ana Martin, Zoe King, Melanie Swanson, Emma Cassel, Vivi Eckman, Grace Book, Madison Montalvo, and Addie Kline along with Kaleb Kabakjian with another first place finish, Liam Howell, Carter Vinson, Aaron Harnish, Aidan Gerlach, Gabe Sullivan, Matthew Perkins, and Gavin Egan.

Looking Ahead: Everyone was given a handout yesterday with details for Iron Bridge. Please note one change that we are going to meet at 6:30 am by the West Gym rather than the 6:45 time noted on the paper.

If you have any questions, please email me at andrea.kramer@pennmanor.net

Meet Results

Hello Penn Manor Cross Country Families,

We did our best to beat the heat (and the hills) in Solanco, with huge positives coming from the meet today.

Our girls ran their strongest race of the season and were narrowly outscored by Solanco. Rounding out the top eight finishers were: Ana Martin, Zoe King, Melanie Swanson, Emma Cassel, Grace Book, Vivi Eckman, Madison Montalvo, and Kaylee Dyer.

Our boys remain undefeated and nearly had a perfect score in the meet, with five athletes finishing in the top six spots. The top eight Comets to cross the finish line were: Kaleb Kabakjian, Graham Cohick, Carter Vinson, Liam Howell, Aaron Harnish, Aidan Gerlach, Gabe Sullivan, and Matthew Perkins.

I’d like to recognize Addie Kline and Gavin Egan for their continued perseverance throughout the season. Hard work does pay off! We are also very appreciative for all of the family support we receive week in and week out. Thank you to all of you!

NOTE: The original date of Monday, Oct. 14th for our Pizza Party is going to be rescheduled because we are not in school in observance of Columbus Day. I will let you know the new date once it has been confirmed.

Meet Results 9/17

It was another solid week of performances at Conestoga Valley this afternoon!

The boys remain undefeated with victories against Conestoga Valley and E-Town. For the first time this season, we claimed the top three spots with Kaleb, Graham, and Liam finishing in that order. They were followed by Carter, Aaron, Aidan, and Gabe.

Although the number of wins for the girls remains the same, they continue to work well as a team. Our point scorers for the day are listed in the order that they finished: Ana, Zoe, Emma, Melanie, Grace, Kaylee, and Maleah.

I would also like to recognize one boy and one girl each week for their individual performances. Drew Risser and Vivi Eckman have run faster each and every meet this season.

Final Comet Classic Update: I will send an updated list of finishers home with the girls tomorrow. Unfortunately the times cannot be retrieved at this point.

Mark your calendars: Our Jr. High Season’s End Pizza Party will be held on Monday, October 14th at Manor Middle School from 3:00-4:30 pm.
