Hello Cross Country Families!
I want to thank you all for being so flexible today with the last minute schedule change!
Despite racing an hour later than planned, our team did amazingly well and our strong performances today were a total team effort! The Girls and Boys both captured first place finishes led by Abby Ames and JT Hetrick, respectively!
I think we set a new record by having six boys finish within 5 seconds of each other…Aaron, Graham, Kaleb, Elijah, Liam, and Phorest. Additional kudos to Isaac for finishing third overall.
The girls continue to get stronger each week, which is wonderful to see, especially since this is the first cross country experience for many of them. Coming in behind Abby to round out the top 8 were Ana Martin, Emma, Kennedy, Melanie, Grace R., Grace F., and Tayana.
More details will be coming soon regarding our Championship Meet at Iron Bridge (Lancaster Mennonite High School) on Saturday, Oct. 13th. As far as timing, the bus will leave from the West Gym (High School) at 6:45 am so that we can have time to set up and walk the course. Race schedule is as follows: Boys Varsity 9 am, Girls Varsity 9:45 am, Boys JV 10:30 am, Girls JV 11:15 am, Awards 12 pm. Every team member will have the opportunity to run.
Tentative Season’s End Celebration will be on Monday, Oct. 15th at Manor Middle School from 3:00-4:30. More details to follow on that, as well.
