We just received an update from Steve Kramer, our Athletic Director regarding Return to Play for the athletes in the Penn Manor School District. Please see the letter below for the most recent information.

Yesterday the Governor provided guidance in relation to the process for interscholastic athletics to return to play. The guidance received regarding Penn Manor’s ability to bring our athletes back for limited practice/training involves the development and school board approval of a health and safety plan for Penn Manor School District Athletics. Our athletic department, school physician and district leadership team have been working carefully and comprehensively to develop this plan based on guidance we have been receiving from the Pennsylvania Department of Education, PIAA, National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) and Center for Disease Control. We are eager and excited to see our student-athletes and teams back in action; however, the health and safety of our students and staff remain our top priority.
While we currently have the blueprints of a plan in place, we will be dedicating the next couple of weeks to finalizing our health and safety plan for athletics at Penn Manor. We intend to present our plan to the Penn Manor School Board for approval at our July 13th board meeting. After board approval, we will communicate a start date for our school district athletic teams to begin summer workouts. Coaches will be reaching out to their individual teams with specific details.
Until then, we encourage our student-athletes, coaches, and teams to continue their off season programs and workouts from home while utilizing virtual meetings as a form of communication. We want to ensure that the safety of everyone involved in athletics from coaches, athletes, staff, officials, and community members are addressed throughout the reopening process.
