Jr. High Summer Training Program

Hello Penn Manor Jr. High Cross Country families,

We have received approval to begin summer training! Practices are optional, but all athletes are encouraged to attend, if possible. There will be new protocols in place to ensure the health and safety of all athletes and coaches. Please note that due to the nature of this fluid situation, additional changes may be implemented as needed.

Practice Protocol:

*Athletes MUST wear a mask when reporting to and leaving from practice.

*A coach will take the temperature and complete a COVID-19 Screening questionnaire before practice for each athlete. Individuals who do not pass the screening, will be asked to return home.

*Face masks can be removed during practice after the screening is complete. At this point, team members will be directed to maintain appropriate social distancing during practice, when possible.

*Athletes MUST bring their own water to practice. Water will not be provided at this time and may not be shared.

*Portable toilets with hand sanitizer will be available for use during summer training dates.

*We are requesting that parents and other family members do not attend practice sessions in support of our goal to achieve proper social distancing, however you are more than welcome to remain in the general area as we understand many families may use our practice time to exercise on their own.

Tentative Practice Dates and Google Meet:

We will have our Google Meet on Monday, July 6th at 7 pm. I will send an invite by the weekend to those who have indicated they would like to attend. Parents are also welcome!

Practices will be held from 6:30-8:00 pm at Manor Middle School on the following days:

Wednesday, July 8

Monday, July 13 and Wednesday July, 15

Monday, July 20 and Wednesday July 22

*I will update the rest of the summer in the next few weeks. Please stay connected with the blog as I will use this to post any changes with practice due to inclement weather.

Thank you and if you have any questions, please email me at andrea.kramer@pennmanor.net
