Official Season Schedule

Hello Penn Manor Jr. High Cross Country families,

It has been a fast and hot few weeks since our optional practices began. Coach Taylour and I are impressed with the number of athletes that have been in attendance. There is a lot of positive energy that surrounds us during the workouts and we’ve seen so much improvement in our team already!

NOTE: FINAL PRACTICES BEFORE OFFICIAL SEASON BEGINS WILL BE ON THE FOLLOWING DAYS: 8/3, 8/5, 8/7 (8:30-10:00 AM), 8/15 (8:30-10:00 AM) *I will be away the week before our official season begins, so there is NO practice on 8/10 or 8/13.

As August rolls around, I wanted to give you the plan for our official season. We will have practice Monday through Friday from 4:00-5:30 pm until school begins on August 31st. I am aware that many of you also have children on the Varsity team. For the days we are at separate locations, we will wait to start practice until everyone arrives. It will take us a few minutes to do our COVID-19 screenings, as it is.

All paperwork is due on Monday, August 17th in order to be eligible to participate. Required forms include: PIAA Physical Form, Code of Conduct, Drug Screening Release Form (voluntary for 7th and 8th graders, mandatory for 9th graders). All forms may be accessed through the 2020 Penn Manor Athletic Registration Packet at the top of the page. If you have any questions about any of these forms, please contact me as soon as possible.

I have updated the 2020 August Schedule (see link at the top of the page) with dates and times for our official season. I have also included them on this page. We will follow this schedule unless otherwise directed by the PIAA. Please note that our parent meeting will be on Friday, August 21st at 5:30 pm. We do ask that you wear a mask in compliance with the directions from Governor Wolf.

This will be a unique season and we will do our best to make it a memorable one for all of the athletes. Thank you for your continued patience as we move forward into our Fall sports season.
