Summer training is the perfect time to build a solid foundation for the season ahead. Make it a goal to run 3-4 days a week for 25-30 minutes by the time we start voluntary practices (see below). Since this is a new sport for many of you, it will take time to get your bodies accustomed to this type of exercise. It is OK to walk if you need to during a run. We have plenty of time to get ready for the season and if you follow the program, you will be amazed at what you can accomplish!
Voluntary team workouts will be held on most Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:00-7:30 pm, beginning in July (TBD), at Manor Middle School. We will meet in the grass near the back parking lot. There will be some alternative practice days that coincide with family vacations and Friday morning workouts (8-9:30 am) will be added later in the summer. For those families with athletes on the Varsity and Jr. High teams, we will wait to begin practice since there are some days we are at different locations.
In the event of inclement weather, changes will be posted on the blog and the Remind App.
