Hambright Messages: Student Belonging and Leader Tickets

Here are a few messages copied from the Hambright blog:

Message 1: The health and safety of all Penn Manor students, families, and staff is the number one priority for the Penn Manor School District during this impact of Covid-19.  Due to this unwavering commitment, we are informing all elementary families that your child’s teacher will be taking inventory of items in your child’s locker and desk.  These items will be secured and stored in your child’s school until school resumes in the Fall of 2020.  Upon return to our physical buildings, your child will receive his/her property to begin the 2020-2021 school year. If there is an essential item that your child needs prior to the start of the 2020-2021 school year, please contact Mr. Howe at eric.howe@pennmanor.net.

6th grade students who are transitioning to the middle school will be given a different set of directions in the near future.

Message 2: This year, Hambright leaders learned about and began leaving their MARK each day!  Though we have gone to online learning, the year is not over yet. Leaders, we want you to continue to Make good choicesAct kindlyRespect yourself and others, and Keep being your best.

Parents/Guardians:  We want to know when your sons and daughters are leaving their MARK at home.  Let us know by emailing your student’s homeroom teacher.

Plants, Google Hangout, and Friends

Keep planting seeds, kindergarten! I would love to see how your plant or flower grows. Click on the link to complete the plant life cycle. This is an optional, printable activity.

Our Google Hangouts are tomorrow. The link to join will be sent through email.

Thank you for consistently sending in your child’s work. I love to see what they are doing. Take a look at what some of our friends did today.

Hello Tuesday

This week I am challenging your child to plant a seed if they are able to. They can plant it in their backyard or in a cup inside. I am going to plant my own seed and watch how it grows. I would love to see updates of their plant as it grows! I will be posting my updates on here.

This week’s Google Hangout will be on Thursday. The morning group will meet at 11:00 AM and the afternoon group will meet at 11:30 AM. The theme this week will be favorite book or movie! Your child will be able to share their favorite book or movie. They will share why they love it or what their favorite part is. If they do not have their favorite book or movie with them, they may draw a picture of it. I will be sending a link to the hangout on Wednesday through email.

Thank you for doing your best at home! I appreciate how each family is consistently staying in contact with me and contacting me with any questions or concerns.
