Thank you to the PTO for providing an ice cream truck for our students! They LOVED it. We were able to have some recess after and spend extra time outside today.

As the end of the school year approaches, I would like to inform you on the next five school days. This message is long and detailed, please read until the very end.

Thursday, May 27th: Ice Cream Truck Comes to Hambright! Each student will be able to enjoy an ice cream treat.

Friday, May 28th: Meet the first grade teachers! Our first grade teachers will be reading a story and answering any questions students may have about first grade. Students will also be shown the first grade hallway, so they will feel more comfortable on their first day of school next year.

Tuesday, June 1st: We will be recording an end of year performance to share with you by the last day of school. If you’d like to dress your child up for this, you may.

Wednesday, June 2nd: All student will be taking their belongings home this day. This includes folders, pencil pouches, any extra crafts that are hanging in the hallway, etc.

Thursday, June 3rd: Last Day of School for Kindergarten! For our last day of school, we will be having a Beach Day to celebrate! Please send your child to school with the following:
-a swimsuit with clothes overtop
-an extra mask

-a towel
-a water bottle (we also have plenty of extras in our classroom)
-sunscreen (please put on at home)
-extra change of clothes if you’d like

We had SO much fun at Race for Education!! It was a hot and sunny day, but our students still managed to run as much as they could. They enjoyed getting bracelets for each lap they ran and were happy to receive a popsicle after their race. Here are some pictures from our day!

Yesterday, we released our butterflies! Students did a great job with waiting quietly and patiently for our butterflies to come out of their net. Here are some pictures:

We are excited to host an in-person Lunch and Learn on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 for children who are planning to enter kindergarten in August 2021. This Lunch and Learn will be held outside, so we scheduled a rain date for Wednesday, May 19th. A bagged lunch will be provided to take home.
