Apple Day was such a fun and exciting day in kindergarten on Friday! Thank you for all of your donations and thank you so much for volunteering. It is greatly appreciated. We tasted red, green, and yellow apples. We also talked about how each one tasted and chose our favorite. We each made our own apple mosaic that will hang in the hallway and completing a writing about our Apple Day. Here are some fun pictures from our day:

Week 2 Update!
Our first day back from a long weekend went great! Today, we started our first math lesson. Students did a wonderful job following along.
The last day to turn in Kindergarten Portfolios is this Thursday, September 9th. If your child completed a portfolio, they will be given a Kindergarten Crew T-shirt. This Thursday, September 9th is Rita’s night at the Rita’s on Columbia Ave/Redwood Drive from 6-8pm. All Hambright students will receive free Rita’s italian ice (paid for by our wonderful PTO). Family members are welcome to purchase their own treats.

Due to the impending storms with the potential for flooding morning kindergarten will be dismissed at our normal time at 11:35 AM. There will be no YWCA Wrap Services today. Please make arrangements to have your child picked up at 11:35 AM today. There is also NO afternoon kindergarten today.
Back to School Night is also canceled tonight.
