Reading

Think Central is the online home to our reading curriculum. Students can find access to some of the stories we read there.

Epic! is a website that provides all sorts of grade-level appropriate eBooks. Students will have free access to Epic during school hours. Subscriptions for home use are also avaialable. Our class code is hnr0884.

Storytown Online has great videos of picture books being read by celebrities of the past and present. A great  free option for the occasional evening when you’re reader is feeling reluctant!

International Children’s Digital Library is a free resource that provides children with eBooks from around the world.

Time for Kids has a free digital library of non fiction articles for kids. 

Grammar

Our grammar curriculum is available online for practice (games included!)

Freerice is a great website where kids can play grammar games and help others at the same time! For each question that they answer correctly, 10 grains of rice will be donated to the World Hunger Programme. 

Room Recess has lots of great grammar games as well as games to practice other academic skills.

Spelling

Spelling City is a great resource for practicing your weekly spelling words. 

Quizlet is a great resource for spelling practice. I will occasionally post links to Quizlets in Google Classroom, but you may make your own lists there for study, too!
