Thanksgiving Donations

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Every year Penn Manor School District assists families in need with Thanksgiving meals.  We would like to make this process more uniform across the district. We will be collecting the food listed below between November 4th and Friday, November 15th.  If you have a child in one of these grades, please consider donating to help our community.

Kindergarten-boxed mashed potatoes

1st grade-boxed stuffing

2nd grade-canned corn

3rd grade-canned green beans

4th grade-canned sweet potatoes

5th grade-canned cranberry sauce

6th grade-canned gravy (NO GLASS)

If your family is able and willing to provide more than is listed above and would like to make a monetary donation, please send the amount you choose by check to your child’s school secretary by November 15th.  Make your check payable to Penn Manor Family Fund and on the memo line write “Holiday Food Basket”.

Our Field Trip is On!

Tomorrow we will be heading to Homefields Care Farm for our field trip. The weather is looking iffy, so please make sure you remember to send your child in weather- appropriate clothing that can get dirty. Send rain jackets if you have them! Also, please remember to send your child with a lunch marked with their name.

See you tomorrow!

Today we learned how to use Scratch! Scratch is an online computer program that allows us to practice our coding skills. Our coding projects are already looking awesome! Scratch is available for students to use at home on their Chromebooks as well!

Happy First Day!

We had a great first day in 5P! We spent a lot of time getting to know each other and even made some different creations that represented us.

The next few days will be filled with more getting to know you activities and learning more about fifth grade.

We sent a lot of important paperwork home today, so please make sure you are checking with your child! I will be sending a class newsletter out at the end of the week with more information.
