Virtual Snow Day Thursday, Feb. 11

Today is a virtual snow day, which means teachers and students will be working and learning from home. If your child receives Reading or Math support, please check the following learning modems for your lesson for today:

Students in:

Kindergarten – Second Grade: Check your Seesaw account for assignments and Office Hours.

3rd – 5th Grade: Check your Google Classroom accounts. Your assignments will be in the Google Classroom created by Mrs. Rowley, even if she is not your Reading Support Teacher. In those Google classroom posts, Mrs. Rowley will also post office hours that she can be available for any questions or help with the assignments she posted.

Mrs. Wall will have the following office hours today: 4th Grade 9 – 10 am, 6th Grade 1 – 2 pm Check your emails for the Google Meet link to reach her.

Math Support with Mrs. Finger: Check her Google Classroom “Math With Mrs. Finger for information and times that you can receive Math support today.

2 Hour Delay – Friday, December 18

Due to the 2 hour delay, school will begin at 11:00 am. If your child receives Reading support, your he/she will be meeting with his/her Reading Teacher at a different time. Students in grades 3 – 5 should check their emails or Mrs. Rowley’s Reading Google Classrooms for the time and additional information to connect for Reading groups.

Virtual learning this week: Reading and Math support

By now you have probably been informed that Hambright Elementary has switched to remote learning this week, beginning Monday, December 14. The information was posted on the Hambright Elementary Blog earlier today. https://hambright.pennmanor.net/2020/12/13/shifting-to-remote-learning-please-read/

Students who receive academic support will continue to receive support, however some groups will not be meeting until Tuesday, December 15. Please remember to check your emails and your child’s Seesaw or Google Classroom for information about when he/she will be meeting for their Reading or Math support lesson.

We are so glad to be back!!

We can’t begin to tell you how happy we are to be back at school – face to face! We look forward to working with students again, but first we need to do our beginning of the year reading assessments. Starting next week, we will begin checking the reading skills of all Hambright students that are attending in-school so we can see how they are improving as the year progresses. We will also be checking to see which students need a little extra support to improve their reading skills. This process takes a little while, so please bear with us.
