Welcome to my blog! My name is Miss Trostle and I will be your child’s 3rd grade teacher for the 2019-2020 school year! Here you will find updates, resources, and other important information pertaining to our 3rd grade class. Below I have provided you with an overview of my blog and all of the pages within it. Please be aware that this blog is a work in progress, so if there is something you don’t see, but would like to, please just let me know! I will work hard to add links to additional resources, as well as post answers to any questions you might have, because chances are, someone else might have the same question!

ClassDojo: This page provides information pertaining to my classroom management system. Please familiarize yourself with this system and sign up with the code that will be mailed to you next week, if desired.

Math: This page provides you with links to access the online support system for our math series. You can also find information about our XtraMath and Ice Cream Math procedures, as well as additional basic facts practice links.
Reading: Here you will find information about the structure of our reading program, as well as the story we are currently reading in class. This site also provides you with a list of the vocabulary words and Quizlet links for practicing said words at home. This page will be updated with the first story once we begin the reading curriculum.
Science: This page provides you with a brief overview of our upcoming Science unit. Here you will also find a link to the Sign-Up Genius form that I have created for food items we will be using in our science labs. If interested in donating an item, please head over to this page and check out the form.
Special Schedule: This page provides you with information about our cycle day schedule for the first half of the school year. Specials and their corresponding cycle days are listed on this page as well.
Spelling: Here you will find information pertaining to our spelling program. This page will also be updated weekly with the new spelling/challenge words. Please refer to this page if your child has misplaced his/her spelling words. The first set of words will be uploaded once we begin the spelling curriculum.
Student Work: This page contains various projects that will be created by the students, and allows you to access these pieces of work at home. Please check back throughout the year for more uploaded projects.
